HomeTrack is a private household health and habit tracker. Access is invite-only. There is no open public signup.
Important: not HIPAA
HomeTrack is a personal / household tool. It is not a HIPAA-covered service, not a medical device, and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice. If you need HIPAA-regulated handling of protected health information, do not use this app for that purpose.
What we collect
- Account email (and name if provided) for sign-in
- Household membership and invite emails set by household owners
- Health and habit data you enter or sync: blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, food diary and calorie entries, recipes you import or save, activity / workouts, optional menstrual cycle data (period/spotting, symptoms, basal body temperature) when enabled for the household, medicines and supplements checklists, reminders
- Support form submissions (email, optional name, topic, and message) when you contact us via Support. New tickets may notify household admins by email; replies you receive from Support are sent to the address you provided
- Optional medicine-label photos or pasted label text when you use medicine scan — used only to draft catalog entries you review before saving
- Optional food photos, meal descriptions, recipe URLs, YouTube links, or recipe photos when you use food estimate or recipe import — used to draft diary or recipe entries you review before saving
- Optional Apple Health (HealthKit) data you authorize — read-only into HomeTrack (we do not write back to Apple Health in the current product). Cycle and period samples are requested only when you and your household opt in.
- Device push tokens if you enable notifications
- Limited operational logs for optional AI features (for example, that a scan or note was requested, success/failure, and latency) — not a full transcript of your health history
Optional AI processing
Some features may send content you choose to a third-party large-language-model provider (currently OpenAI and/or Anthropic, as configured by the household admin) to produce a result you can review:
- Medicine label scan: a photo or pasted label text to extract draft medicine/supplement names, dosage, and dose times
- Food estimate: a meal photo or short description to draft diary entries (portions, calories, and related fields) you review before saving
- Recipe import: a URL, YouTube link, photo, or text prompt to draft a recipe (ingredients, steps, nutrition) you review before saving
- Insights / notes: short generated notes (for example cycle or overnight fasting context) when those surfaces are enabled
- Assistant: chat or voice messages you send to HomeTrack Assistant when you use that surface to ask questions or draft logs
These features are optional and can be disabled by a household admin. We do not sell your data. Do not upload photos that contain information you are not comfortable sharing with the configured AI provider. Always review AI drafts before saving them to your household catalog, food diary, recipes, or acting on a note — model output can be incomplete or wrong.
Who can see your data
Data is scoped to your household. Members of that household can view and log for profiles in the household according to how the app is used. We do not sell your data.
Sign-in providers
You may sign in with email, Google, or Apple. Those providers authenticate you; HomeTrack stores the linked account identifiers needed for login. Use Share My Email with Apple so the address matches your household invite.
Hosting
The service is hosted on infrastructure such as Vercel and a Postgres database. Traffic is served over HTTPS in production (hometrac.app).
Retention and deletion
Data remains while your household uses the app. To request deletion of your account or household data, contact us via the Support page.
Children
HomeTrack is intended for household use by adults managing family tracking. It is not directed at children under 13.
